History Established in 1984 In 1984 Van Finney launched In Home Service in Olathe, KS on TV, Video, Audio & Stereo repair. In 1985 he added KC Connectors to sell Electronics Parts. In 1989 he purchased Larry’s TV Service at 521 S Fir in Olathe, KS and created Larry’s TV & In Home Service. In 1991 he moved the operations to 708 S Rogers Rd in Olathe, KS, purchased H&H Electronics of Olathe, KS and renamed the business Hometown Electronics. In 1993 he sold Hometown Electronics and moved KC Connectors and In Home Service to 557 E Park St in Olathe, KS. In 1994 he sold KC Connectors. In 1996 he opened Service City at 136 S Clairborne Rd in Olathe, KS. In 1999 he sold Service City and moved In Home Service back to 557 E Park St. In 2002 he added Landscaping by his son Brandon Finney. Then in 2012 he added Electrical and Computer Service to In Home Service. Meet the Business Owner:
Van F. Van graduated from Chanute High School in Chanute, KS in 1975. He then joined the Navy and graduated from Navy Nuclear Power School in 1978 and served on US Navy Submarines as a Nuclear Power Engineer till 1983. Then in 1984 he joined the staff at Birdview Satellite as a Technical Consultant and was transferred to Olathe, Ks. Onced in Olathe he started In Home Service part time in 1984, and went full time in the business in 1987.
